Addis Enterprises is an award-winning design and marketing firm with a variety of high-profile web development contracts for businesses, universities and state government agencies.

We are looking for a local full stack web developer who is dedicated to their craft and to keeping up with modern, cutting-edge techniques. We need you to write well-structured PHP/HTML/CSS and JavaScript to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of our products in meaningful ways. Candidates need to hit the ground running using excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

This is a junior position reporting directly to our Web & Media Director and working closely with our Lead Programmer. Our new hire shall assist with the development and programming of websites and website applications, HTML/CSS and JavaScript programming, CMS installation and modification, server software installs and security, research and technical recommendations, and possible creative and marketing services as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming in PHP.
    o    Method Scope.
    o    Class types such as interfaces, abstract classes.
  • MYSQL knowledge.
    o    Simple Joins.
    o    Table creation.
  • Security Knowledge.
    o    SQL Injection.
    o    XSS.
    o    CSRF.
  • Strong JavaScript/jQuery experience.
    o    Comfortable writing scripts and plug-ins from scratch.
  • Ability to adhere to established coding guidelines.
  • Overall HTML/CSS expertise.
  • Ability to create website from mocks.
  • Familiarity and comfort with content management systems.
  • Best practices and basic security knowledge.
  • Demonstration of good design, layout and UX principles.
  • Experience with version control software such as Git .

Bonus Qualifications:
  • WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility best practices and remediation techniques.
  • cPanel/WHM experience.
  • Linux administration and setup.
  • Gulp and Vue familiarity.
  • HTML canvas and HTML animation.
  • Design, Layout and UX principles.
  • Doctrine.
  • Concrete5 CMS.
  • Drupal 8 CMS.
  • Moodle LMS.

Compensation commensurate with experience and is negotiable. Benefits include matched 401(k) and referral bonuses for new clients.
